Mindful breathing
This week in mindfulness we focused on the
importance of deep breathing. By noticing our breathing, it can help us calm
down and help us relax. This week we made our own mindfulness breathing tool.
This tool is kept in our tote trays and we can get this in times of feeling
stressed, anxious or just needing a moment to draw attention to our breathing
and relax. It helps us to notice our breathing and make sure we are taking
long, deep breaths. We had a great time making these and our room was covered
in glitter and sparkles!
The task set to us had only three musts;
I must use a popsicle stick
I must use a feather
I must be able to blow air into it and see the
feather move
The rest was up to us to use our imagination!
